Soft brush for washing exterior....

Recommended Posts

Had a really soft brush with long handle that I used to plug in to the garden hose, but it has fallen apart with old age.   Got an equivalent microfiber brush, but not as easy to use.    Anyone have one they can recommend?     The few brushes I have looked at have very hard bristles, might mark the paintwork.      I am looking or a long handle soft brush that plugs into the garden hose, that is gently on the paintwork.     Thanks

Have you tried those sheep's wool mitts? Fits on you hand like a glove and you can wash your car with it.

This brush is described as soft enough to prevent scratches, I can't vouch for that, personally I never use any brush on paintwork but for others there may be a need/preference .

Thanks for replies. I have looked at the Halfords brushes, they all seem very hard, much harder than my old one. Halfords mitts look very soft, so maybe have to move to a mitt.

Personally, I would never use a brush to wash my car.  No matter how soft they are, they will cause small scratch lines.  Better sticking with an extendable microfibre mop.

+1 👍

Brushes are for vans, lorries and buses only.

To minimise any scratching I would wash with a microfibre mitt, two buckets ( one wash & one rinse ) both with grit guards and a good quality car shampoo
