The engine management light came on with a message ‘Check engine’. The local Toyota dealer said there is a fault code P1271 so their thought is a new EDU and £1500 with no guarantee of a fix. Hmmmm. Looking at the Denso system, I see there is pressure relief valve ( aka pressure discharge valve) on the common rail that can also cause this fault code. Can anyone send me a diagram or picture that locates where this is? Lots of info on suction control valves, but nothing I could find on pressure relief valves. Car has done 90,000 miles and still drives OK.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ted.
