Bluetooth problems

Hi all

Has anyone had a problem with bluetooth not working properly

I connect my phone to handsfree and it works if I don't drive the car say maybe a day or two when I get back in the car the phone won't connect so I then have to delete the phone from the car and start all over a again

My phone is making bleeping noises trying to connect to the car but nothing happens I never had this problem on the other aygos I have had

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Sometimes, when having any bluetooth issues (not just the specific one you are having), simply unpairing/deleting the bluetooth device with your phone and re pairing solves the issue !!!

Tried that about 10 times I have to do it every time I use the car

If you have not already done so, try a few different phones, other than the one you are trying, ideally one a iPhone and they other an android.

If they both work, it's your existing phone, if they incur the same connection issues, then it must be a faulty head unit/stereo/infotainment system...whatever they are called nowadays.

I know it's a bit of a pain, but you'll have to troubleshoot the obvious before going anywhere near the Dealers and this is exactly what they will try first.

Just an update been in touch with toyota they say they never heard of this problem so the car has got to go in in Jan so will see what they have to say

Hmm, sorry to say, I think you are on a hiding to nowhere.

I can barely remember the last time I heard a positive outcome when a car has went in for "investigation" !!  Normally ends up with them saying, "can't find anything wrong" and then they turn the spotlight on the user (the driver), because they must be doing something wrong.

I do hope it's a good outcome 👍

Yes I know what you mean it's always the drivers fault

I will see and put an update on when I find out the outcome

Apple has really botched updates in the last month or so iOS 16-17 has major issues, they have nuked a lot of older devices too

Android - make sure everything is up to date and it has checked for system updates, power cycle the phone

Update

Took car in they say that they tried 3 phones and everything was OK

I tried my wifes phone and that worked

took car home and added mine to the car and so far it still works this is a bit strange not sure what was wrong I have not altered anything

Will wait and see if it carries on working
