Questions about the infotainment system [MY2023]

I have some questions regarding the newest infotainment systems. Coming from VAG, these systems are quite incredible, but the Toyota systems were always a bit meh to me. Nobody develops for these systems (no hacks or whatsoever).

The system is an 86140-02N51, current sw version 2050. The system has internet connectivity.

I have updated a touch system on a yaris before and I wonder how the new systems work.

1. How are system updates handled? Are they done via OTA or do we need to purchase access to the TSB website and download the firmware?

2. Is it possible to load a full set of POI? On my Audi, I use a full database with POI and (mobile) speed cameras.

3. How are maps updated? Via OTA or do we need to download the maps via the Toyota portal?

FWIW the infotainment system in the MY23 is the first system I've not immediately replaced with Android Auto.

The Sat Nav is by TomTom and is excellent.

You can search by destination as well as address and postcode, for example: "Hey Toyota, navigate to Odeon Cinema Aldershot"

System updates are performed OTA, I believe map updates are also OTA.

I don't think you can add custom POI, however fixed speed cameras are included. Not sure how frequently that database is updated, but it's not something I care about.

You could get a custom 12.3 plug and play HD screen. Fully compatible with steering wheel controls. However I believe you loose the Toyota menus in the screen. The settings are still accessible via the odometer menu.
