Thinking about getting an E170, boot specs needed

I'm in need of a bigger car and considering how reliable my Auris has been until now, and the car in general, not just the engine, Corolla naturally came to mind.

Is the 1.6 engine plagued by any issues? I know there was some vvti solenioid issues, but i think that was solved after 2012, so it should not affect the 2013 and later models.

Facelift version HVAC control and radio seem impractical due to lack of buttons and knobs, is it really so?

Is there any big difference in regards to pre and post facelift versions? 

Most of my drives are highway, and with 6th gear i see it should be doing around 3250 rpm at 80 mph, does the car feel sluggish in 6th gear and at this speed?

One big point is the boot size, if someone would be kind enough to measure it?
I found this one online from Corolla Altis 2020, comparing to the Auris's ~60-65 cm in booth depth, it's a massive increase, just wanted to confirm if the figures are roughly correct, if someone would be kind enough to measure.

The UK didn't have the Corolla saloon (2013-2019) as saloons don't sell well in this market sector here.

So replies may be limited.

Did not know that, but that's fine, my main point is the rest of the car and noise/power at highway speeds, mainly 80mph. The boot info i can try to find somewhere.

In case that the estate was sold in the UK, the boot size should be the same as sedan.
