RAV4 Front Passenger Seat

I don't know if anyone else is having problems with the height of their passenger seat or whether it's another importer anomaly   ?

In Toyota's wisdom (or someone's) it is giving me a problem and others getting in and out of the passenger side.

Mr Toyota only gave me a drivers electrically operated seat and the passenger seat is manual as in backward and forward and recline which for the price of the vehicle is such a disappointment. 

The problem seems that the seat is just too damn high and the odd times I have been a passenger when SWMBO is driving or I have been driving with friends there is a problem of having to fold one's self double to get in without the head scraping the head on the to of the door opening.

Okay I can never be called tiny or barely average nor others that that have ridden shotgun but Toyota have been so stingy in not giving any manual height adjustment to the seat.

Yes a bit of a moan but for me it's just something that has been done on the cheap that is not reflected in the price or the model.

Lots of discussions on this over on the US forums. So I assume it's an issue all round.

I've tried it and it is simply too high for me so I would need to recline it a lot if I weren't driving all the time. I don't know why it is too high. 8 have zero problems with the drivers seat which is one of the most ergonomic for me. 6ft 2.7 inch, now 14st 4lb (due to Christmas) 😂.

My wife is in it a lot. She's 5ft 9.5, wouldn't dare estimate weight. She had to recline it slightly but doesn't have much of an issue.

Not sure if the issue will persist on the GR Sport seats.

I just now built one for a laugh:

It doesn't look as though the 'problem' will persist ... 😉

My wife is 5ft 3" in June she had a hip replacement in August we picked up our car, she find the seat height perfect.

I think it helps to adjust the passenger seat all the way back.

My daughter wohos got some fysical dysfunktions use to enter the passenger seat with her back first. A bit easier for her
