Okay, it's been asked a thousand times, but it's pretty important - for insurance reasons, I think I may well have been getting quotes on Japanese (imports) cars.

I've heard people call there UK non-turbo cars N/A, yet there is also GT (GTi-16v), now I'm pretty sure the back of their cars don't have N/A badges on them.

I'm going for a non-turbo UK car, so am I right in saying that it's a Toyota MR2 N/A when it comes to insure it?

NA = Naturally Asperated .. or non turbo

The UK car is a GTi16 .. the Jap car is a G-Limited.

My experience with insurers is that they have 3 UK models:

MR2 Coupe (3S-FE engine, no spoiler or fogs)

MR2 GTi-16

MR2 GT-TBar

Yup .. and the Jap market got

G (Same as Coupe)

G-Limited (Same as GTi-16)

GT-S

GT

The last two being turbo, and all being either tin top or T-bar ..
