Oil pressure lamp stays on after running with to much oil

Hi,

I have a Toytoa Avensis from 2004. In a weak moment I put in way to much motor oil (several liters). The oil pressure lamp came on soon after, I stop the car and checked the oil level and it had maybe double the amount over the max level on the oil stick. After some googling and being in a tight spot I decided to drive on, the oil pressure light was still on the dashboard but I didn't notice any other changes in behavior. Drove the car for another 2 hours.

Now after removing enough oil for it to be on the correct level again (between the two dots on the oil stick) the light still comes on after driving for maybe 5 min. It lights together with the other warning lights when starting the car (as it should) and the goes of. The it begins the flicker more and more until it stays completely on after maybe 5 min of driving. And it still drives and sounds as it did before the adding of oil.

I'm leaning on it being some problem with the sensor but don't actually know. Anyone who has had a similar problem and/or know how hard it is to replace the oil pressure sensor?

Hi the oil level should be up to the max level dipstick 4.2l of oil goes inside with filter change it 4.2l.

Buy an oil pump take all out add 4.2l, or take it fot oil service ask for oil plus folter change ask them to put new 4.4l and the rest to give it to you (5l-4.4l). Chack that they didnt put more.

In my car when i change my self i found 6.5l inside !!!

It easy to add.

Also take the Battery terminals out put them back after 5min = reset for all the system or unplug the sensor plug its the same.
