Loose exciter wire

Had a starter fitted a few years ago but recently had trouble starting and luckily for me a guy was passing by while I was having a look at the car and he stopped and helped me, anyway got it started and he said it was the exciter wire which had come loose. The car was running great now I have the same symptoms but I have no idea where to look. Could anybody please give me an idea where to look for the exciter wire location for a verso 2.2 2007 it would be very much appreciated. Symptoms are click no crank plenty Battery life and I believe it is the wire loose again.
