Sat nav software

Just bought a 4th gen Rav 4 D-4D 2.0 which according to the dealer had never been loaded with satnav software. Can anyone recommend some old freeware or else point me in the right direction?.

You either have sat nav or you don't have it. You can't "install app" in Toyota head unit, you must use Toyota maps with Toyota hardware. Maps can be added later if hardware is on place 🙂

To clarify ... 'navigation' was an option on the 2013 RAV4.4. It sounds as though your car doesn't have that option. It may be possible to retrofit the navigation module, but it is hardware rather than simply software that is missing.

Even once you've added the necessary module, obtaining up-to-date maps may be a challenge and will be expensive.

It might be better to cut your losses and consider and aftermarket replacement system or simply use a smartphone and Google maps etc..

Several vendors of this kit have eBay feedback which suggests that this unit is only compatible with left hand drive vehicles, but my research continues..By the way getting fed up with incessant pop ups with this site!.
