Mats made of gold?

I've been having a look around at replacing the carpet mats that I got with the car with some rubber ones, especially with all the bad weather and kids to deal with. I've been very shocked to see just how expensive they are! around £120 for some rubber mats... Any know where to get them for a reasonable price?

Have you tried Carmats4U

I haven't used them myself, as I have the Toyota rubber mats in my C-HR and in the Good Lady's Yaris

…and what mats do you have in the wife’s? 😇

The genuine Toyota ones are excellent. Try their eBay store.

The Toyota ones are really good but they are overpriced for what they are - Triple the price of third party ones! (Or were, maybe prices have dropped now??)

With my old cars, I'd either get generic cut-to-fit ones from Halfords, or get tailored ones from eBay if I could find suitable ones. The tailored ones tend to be better as they usually have a lip to stop water escaping from the mat, but check - The Toyota ones have this and even have a cover for the dead pedal, which most 3rd party ones omit.

The genuine Toyota rubber mats arrived today, top quality and fit perfectly. Expensive but at least are made to last and look good.

I am interested in some genuine Toyota mats, I have looked online, from what I have seen they look ideal, however, is state for illustration purposes.

The rubber Toyota mats I bought fit perfectly and I particularly like the flap on one of the rear mats that covers the tunnel on the PHEV model.

While the Toyota OE mats are excessively expensive, I do like the little details like that - None of the third-party ones generally bother. Even the driver-side one in my Mk4 has an extra flap of rubber to cover the dead pedal, which none of the third party ones bother with.

I still have the original Tsport mats in the Yaris, maybe I could enhance the interior with some Lidl specials that I have seen, with fake chequerplate purple insets.

Think sort of badgers backside texture with shiny bits to reflect the 12v chaser lights I put in the other week.

Brilliant idea. I hope it won't clash with the fluffy dice hanging from the rear view mirror 😁

No it won't clash Big_D , the fluffy dice are polar white with the dots picked out in deep purple 🟣, you can still get them at motosave if you would like some.

I like to be coordinated you see,it picks up the purple sequins that I had hand sewn onto the stripes on my Adidas suit.

But thank you, it's great to talk to someone who shares my good taste in car enhancements and sartorial elegance, like what I have.

I suppose the overall vibe I am going for is 70s Morris 1300 purple, I still have many happy memories of admiring those, and having a bath in a purple bathtub prior to going out in lilac trousers, and deep purple cheesecloth shirt to the disco.

My outfit was much admired,in fact some likened me to the aristocracy, and told me that I looked like a proper count, I think that's what they said anyway.

How did you guess?

You must be psychic 😉

It was close between that one, purple rain by prince, and the one eyed one horned purple people eater novelty song by who the hell knows.

I was going to opt for Purple Rain, but I thought you wouldn't like an odd Symbol in your car even if it was by the artist formally known as Prince. You know what noise a symbol, sorry, cymbal can make 😁

Ha ha,had to Google odd symbol, not heard of it before.

It's great though on here, not only have I learned a lot about cars, but culture too.

You can't tell me you have never heard of the artist formally known as Prince. It's pronounced Logo. Hollow circle above downward arrow crossed with a curlicued horn-shaped symbol and then a short bar
