Hello all,

I'm having an issue with my central locking not working which is causing the radio not to turn off and then killing the Battery.

I found a very helpful post on here pointing me towards the ECO Run Converter being the culprit. This was correct as when I unplugged this, the central locking started working.

The model number in my car is G92C0-52030. However, the post said I should look for a replacement with the model number G92C0-52050 as this is the updated version. This part sells for £190 from Toyota Direct Parts.

I cannot find any G92C0-52030 for cheaper elsewhere. But I can find alot of G92C0-52011 for cheap.

My question is, does anyone know if the G92C0-52011 is the correct part? It looks identical, I would just presume it's a step down in terms of age/performance but if it works and is a fraction of the price I would go for it.

Does anyone have any experience with this part who could shed some light? Is it even an ECO Run Converter? Some places its called just ECU unit, or ECU Converter unit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

G92C0-52030 was replaced by G92C0-52031 which was replaced by G92C0-52050

there is a good reason you will want the new part as the previous versions have known issues (failing electronics)

52011 is a very specific part and not suitable

pay for it now, or pay out again later

G92C0-52050 also requires a mounting bracket and nut/bolt)

if budget is an issue time to look around the local breakers for a yaris or auris of the same age

Just want to chime in here and hope for some words of wisdom. I've got the same eco run converter on my 2011 1.33 auris.

I have replaced it every 12.5-15 months for the last few years. I'm just about to fit my 4th. I've used 3 new ones and 1 second hand one during these replacements. Always with the newer 'updated' model number, bar the second hand one which was the original model.

I made a point of the 12.5 months as the warranty on the new ones is 12 months.

I'd love to know why they fail and if there's anything I can do to stop it as it's a costly, what feels like unnecessary expense.

I would be checking the alternator, overvoltage will kill it over time

Hi everyone, it is currently October 2025. I had exactly the same issue as everyone else with my auris , The dashboard lights kept flashing even when the car was turned off and locked saying check engine. It just got worse and worse until the dashboard lights stayed on all the time basically. Draining the Battery. The dashboard ring light was flashing the fuel gauge flashing the temperature gauge flashing. I had the ABS light flash on and off the steering light flash on and off anyway. I looked at everyone's advice and I ordered a new converter assy eco from Toyota for £170 it's funny because my old one had exactly the same part number as the latest version Which obviously still fails. Anyway, I bought a new one part number G92C0-52050 installed it and as completely fixed my problem. Obviously these parts are just prone to failure. I have no idea why the Toyota garage have no idea why but hopefully this will last my car until the end now 🤞

Also my auris is 2011 and I believe the converter eco assy has already been replaced before as it looked tampered with before I even changed it. These parts obviously just keep failing annoyingly. Hopefully this new one lasts.
