Purchasing a toyota approved used car

I bought a one year old Toyota Yaris Cross but I realised recently that unlike every other used Toyota I have bought from Steven Eagell I don't have any evidence of warranty or roadside assistance. Is this normal now?

The car should still be within the new car warranty, unless it has exceeded the mileage limit. In my experience, manufacturers don't provide specific evidence (card, document, etc) of the new car warranty aside from what is in the service/warranty booklet.

Have you checked what information is contained within the vehicle section of the My Toyota app?

Failing the above, get confirmation from the dealer.

AFAIK, all new Toyota cars carry a 3 year warranty. Email the dealership and you will have both questions answered, phone them.

Pretty sure new Toyotas now only come with one year Toyota recovery, hence you won’t have anything.

I took out a 3 year service plan which included an extra two years recovery.

Dear All, thank you for your help. The car was registered 09/22 and has done 15000 miles and was last serviced June 22 at 10,000 miles.

Regards

Chas

Been a number of years since new Toyota's came with any more than 1 year Toyota roadside assistance.

Usually approved used Toyota's come with 1 year roadside assistance - and they have stopped issuing cards to confirm membership.

That was the good thing about ford, if you had your car serviced at a ford garage then it renewed the roadside assist for 1 year, so my Toyotas assist will run out after 1 year regardless if I have it serviced at a Toyota dealer?

Thankfully I can confirm my car has roadside assistance until Nov 24. Worth noting that the renewal for my Y20 would only have been £80.

Also covered by the Toyota Approved used car warranty which is extendable for a year after each main dealer service.

There is a sticker on the top left (pax side) showing breakdown phone number. Dealer confirmed they give 12 month cover on all Toyota Approved second hand cars they sell. Mine was a 22 plate.
