Starting car struggle to start

Hi there,  hoping you can help I have 2011 Toyota avensis with D4D engine lately I noticed especially mornings that when I turn the key it struggles to start, it doesn’t tick over straight away. I do turn the car on and then leave it for a few seconds before I start the engine. Is the starter going on me or something else? Appreciate any advice thanks

You can check some parameters yourself if you have a multimeter. There are many YouTube videos that can help you learn how to do it.
