Headunit upgrade questions

Hello all

I have a 2016 toyota yaris icon with a touch 2 without go and backup camera. I would like to change the headunit and add Apple carplay. However, I am unsure if I am going to be able to use the original mic, steering wheel buttons, and backup camera. Is anyone familiar with an upgrade and/or could give me some advice? I am aware of carplay products that sit in place of the navigation system, however, I am not sure if I would want to go with that product as many people claim low quality issues and issues with the backup camera. What do you suggest that I do?

Audio controls - connects2 make an adapter

Mic - usually supplied with the new radio

Camera - you will require a retention adapter

Fascia - you will need a fascia adapter

the earlier touch2 systems are starting to show there age

 

I personally will not fit any no name Chinese junk, depending on your budget look as the pioneer DA250DAB or DA360DAB
