Hi all , just come out of work and tried to unlock the boot by pressing the boot button on the fob , didn't do a thing , had to unlock the car then unlock with the boot button , shouldn't I just be able to unlock the boot without unlocking the car  ?? I have put a new Battery in the fob and I did double lock the car when I locked it before I went in to work .

Pic of the key I have

Thanks , Dave .

Thought it was only the estate Corolla that has power hatch?

It's not a power tailgate, the button just unlocks the boot

Edgie70. With my TS model pressing car lock on fob once then pressing boot unlock on fob once, results in boot opening. However, pressing car lock on fob twice (double lock, locking inside and outside) then pressing boot unlock on fob results in nothing happening. Press and Holding boot unlock does nothing in both cases. Hope this helps as a comparison. You have the same fob as me.
