There's no other explanation other than what Frosty said. I've been driving for just over sixty years all makes and sorts of vehicles never had that happen to me.

Hi Marlene, is it the whole wiper or just the rubber that's coming off. Both cases they are not attached properly as others have already said.

Only had this once, not while driving, but when selling a pug 405.

My fault, I decided to cheap out and buy some replacement wipers and arms from the local "buy everything for a quid"shop.

The wipers flew off while the buyer was testing the car, I confessed to what I had done, and the buyer still bought the car.

Lesson learned, don't cheap out, even when getting rid.
