Hi

I purchased a Toyota Yaris 1.3 5dr T Spirit 2007 just recently and am generally pleased with it.

However I just cannot get used to using the Smart Entry and Start System in respect of locking and unlocking car.

I understand it but never feel 100% confident when using it. Also if I have key fob in pocket as I go around vehicle checking tyre pressures, the doors are constantly locking and unlocking which is irtitating.

The drivers door handle assembly has a slot for a conventional key and I believe its possible to obtain one from Toyota.

Would anyone know if this is possible and if so is there a security protocol involved and how much does it cost?

I believe some key fobs incorporate a mini key but mine does not.
