Is the earth wire on the alternator a seperate wire or is it part of a loom bacause toyota want to charge me for a full loom which is about 200-300 pounds!

Its just a broken !Removed! earth wire on my alternator, should be WELL easy to fix...obviously not! :ffs:

as far as i remember the earth goes onto alternator in a block conector...it should be easy enough to sort out without a full loom,just a case of tracing the fault or fitting another earth.best bet is an auto electrician like lucas,
