just a query , i just finished working 2 twelve hour night shifts with only 5 hours sleep inbetween each , problem is i know now i should be tired ,but i'm wide awake.is this normal or am i just a uk working machine.

I find that too when I work massive nightshifts..........

Then all of a sudden it will hit you when you are watching TV and doing nothing at all..............

I have been working 12 hour shifts for a while now, hatem, I have to travel a long way to work which is what kills me, 62 miles each way Folkestone to Bromley, been doing it for 3 years now, had enough, which is why I have quit, working out my notice as I type......

I get so tired I get the long blinks, nasty when driving, AC on even when it is cold outside to keep me awake, can't have coffee or I won't be able to sleep when I get home.

I used to be the same when I worked nshift. Had to drive 45mins home. One morning I woke up on the other side of the road !!! ...... it's hard as hell to stay awake if you're really tired at the wheel.
