Rear dash cam

Hi

I've just upgraded  from  the aygo x pure to aygo x edge. On the  pure model i had  both from and rear  dash cam. Rather  than remove  my old  dash  cam  they fitted 322tgw  . I asked why no rear and been told that there was a safety  issue   which I'm waiting  for what  this is. If it turns  out that  it would  require possible  modification  to car then surely they  should fit a 622gw which  can add a rear  view camera attached  to from and giving  dash cam footage  through the rear  window. Has anyone had this issue

Cheers  m8 then one they have put in is 322gw which can't have a rear  dash cam. My concern was  that I had a front and rear  dash  cam in my old  aygo x pure and told that it may  need modification to my aygo x edge  ithink that the  model they installed should  reflect  this im hoping they will change  this  after they  have had word with  toyota technical and hope that someone  who has edge  can help .if  a front and rear  can be installed  on exclusive  then why not edge. Ibreslly appreciate  your help its really  helpful

I honestly don't know what they are talking about !!!

I'm not sure, but the wiring they have fitted for the one they fitted, may be compatible with the 622GW and then you just have to run the wire to the rear for the rear camera.

I'm assuming they hardwired it in ?

I got the front one professionally hardwired in and I did the rear camera myself, just to keep the cost down after coughing up the money for a brand new Aygo X exclusive 😂

Thanks I think the same my personal  feeling  is they have fitted wrong  one and  should  change  it to 622gw as you say thanks again  and that hardwired  the 322gw in

I have a Dashcam with a rear camera wired in as well, came in handy when I had an accident early december. Mine is an Edge model.

Thankyou was it a next base and who fitted it and haveci your permission  to use this as I think I'm being fobbed off

I think it's irrelevant which trim level of Aygo X.  Unless I'm missing something blindingly obvious, there should be NO issue at all fitting a front and rear Dashcam to ANY Aygo X and regardless of the make or brand of the Dashcam.

In fact, the Aygo X must be a Dashcam installers dream car, as it's as basic as hell Inside.

I totally agree I think that too aftertp speaking  to nexbase I'm told that I could still have a rear dash cam in a 622gw  and use the dash  cam that  is attached  to front one and using rear window.im totally at a loss  and reason I asked if any edge drivers had had similar problems

I have a 322GW fitted to my C-HR. It originally came with a cabin camera and I have recently purchased a rear camera, which works with the 322GW.

Thanks m8 I'm still waiting  for toyota technical  to come back with a reason  they won't fit one to my aygo edge  dealers  said toyota  won't fit on aygo edge

Having purchased an Aygo X Edge for the memsahib last July and having specified the dealer-fit Nextbase front and rear Dashcam package, and having footage from said front and rear dashcams on this very computer I would venture to suggest that someone is giving you the runaround.

I was the first person to reply to your original question and answered that already !!!

Nextbase 622GW front and rear (hardwired because I wanted the parking mode function and hate seeing wires anywhere).
