no really if you just have a straight thru rear backbox it aint that loud

and if the 'can' is quite big you get a really nice deep burble :P

thought it was illegal??

BTW how much more expenisve is it to get a backbox fabricated to fit? rather than getting one that fits in the first place?

No exhaust is illegally loud, I think thats only 4 motorbikes! And Matt, knightriders zorst would fit on ur's and it would sound sweet probably! And if its 2 loud u could always put a couple of silencers in it I think!

In the state Victoria, Australia, car exhuast must not exceed 90db or else your are in breach of noise pollution which is technically illegal ..... if u are deemed to be over the limit, you are sent an EPA (Environmental Protection Authority) notice and asked to get it tested.

When i had a 2" 'staight through' cat back exhuast with a small hotdog responator on my 1.3L with an Apex'i N1 1.3L muffler ..... i got an EPA notice after hooning around for 10month with it :P At testing, i got 103db which is hella loud when u consider the legal limit is only a MAXIMUM of 90db. Once i put the stock system back on, it only read 84db!!!

Heres a video link to hear it in action the day i picked it up from the exhuast place :)

Noisy exhausts themselves arn't illegal...but noise pollution is.

be it loud ice / exhausts / wife screaming in the passenger seat....

something the police use when they stop ya is that you wouldn't be able to hear the emergency services sirens even if they were driving up ya *****....so your driving without due care and attention. Tecnicality..but they can book ya.

and if someone with a noisy muffler kept waking me up, I'd be out there sticking it where the sun don't shine!

I'd still like one though...within reason..!
