Hi all,

My wife has a 2019 Corolla Excel with the JBL stereo. As far as I’m aware the only connected services for the car are find my car through the app, and the sos call button.

She seems to think there’s a remote start function. Which is operated through the app.
 
The unit is Touch 2 with Go, I couldn’t find the old brochure if anyone has 2019 UK one pdf, it’ll settle the discussion  it does have AppleCar play which is used all the time for sat nav duties. The factory satnav updates expired a couple of years ago. I’ve had a good look through the app, and checked everything is registered with her online account ect, and I don’t think it has those functions or if it did they were on a subscription basis, and being a tight Yorkshire Man wouldn’t have forked out at the time.

Starting the car through the app is only on newer models with the updated head unit

Sat Nav had 3 years of updates from new, you will have to pay for any new updates, about £175 to update it

It’s the touch 2 with go (mm19) she’s said in the past it’s done over the air map updates in the past regarding maps. The car connects to home WiFi. She still get emails wanting her to resubscribe. She uses the Apple NAV because the maps are always updated quicker. The CarPlay operates in though usb. I’m pretty sure too that it’s the newer models myself. Cheers
