ok i think it's well known that the noweigans are pushing for everyone to own an EV.

now can someone please explain to me why? when they sell billions of barrels of oil each year. this is so mind blowingly idiotic.

Amazed the noweigans are falling for this tripe.

Norway is western Europe's largest oil and gas producer, with a total output of just over 4 million barrels of oil equivalents per day (boepd).13 Dec 2023

No, it's quite the opposite - *WE* are the blithering idiots - The Norwegians are absolute top-tier geniuses.

We squandered all our oil early on and spent all the money on stupid garbage and now we've smeg-all to show for it.

The Norwegians didn't - They held on to it and slowly let it out, so they still have massive stockpiles of oil which they can sell for shed-loads more than we did, and the money they got from it they invested back into the economy, the markets and significant long-term projects in the country. That's why they're so rich and can still build major infrastructure while we can't even maintain our roads and are getting squeezed for ever more taxes by the shortsighted greedy smeg-pots that run our country.

The funny thing is, by encouraging their own populace to go EV, they reduce their own dependency on oil which also means there's more left to sell to everyone else at elevated prices. As oil reserves start to run out, they are going to be in a very strong position.

One of the reasons I'd like an EV one day is because you can make electricity from a lot more stuff - Coal, Gas, Nukes, Waves, Waterfalls, Wind, Sun, Mr Fusion, Anti-Matter, Warp Cores (One dayyy).

But petrol cars will only run on petrol.

Even diesel is better there as theoretically it'll run on anything that combusts, as long as the injectors and high pressure pump can handle it, which is why people could run older diesels on chip fat, veggie oil, waste motor oil, waste gear oil etc.., but apparently giving everyone black lung is bad so we probably won't be doing that again any time soon!

Sweden signed up to be carbon neutral by 2045. They are sitting on a lot of money so this will help them achieve this. The money will also help them with the infrastructure for EV charging. 😀
