Noise when applying break when stationary, yaris hybrid 2015

Hi,

Just bought a Toyota Yaris Hybrid 2015, never had a hybrid car before so not sure if it's a normal noise or something I should be concerned. Please see the video attached, that sound comes when stationary and pressing harder on the break pedal, I would say around half the way or more. If just touched enough for the car to stop it doesn't make the sound. You can hear it better starting around 21 seconds.

If the car brakes normally and stops the car normally, then I don't think you should have a worry. Mine when stopped and put into drive or reverse in the morning makes all sorts of weird noises and at other times when stopped and starting also 😅

Thanks Bernarnd, I have to go the the dealership anyway as I have the issue with the evaporator as well, white dust coming off the vents, so I'll double check the noise as well when I get there.

Can you please update me on the evaporator situation? I'm in the same boat and taking my car to the dealer this week. This is my thread:
