Help to find issues - camera and radio

Hi, I have a 2009 Toyota avensis tourer estate. Recently the radio has just stopped, nothing at all except a blank screen and also reversing camera does not work. She brought it locally to someone but they weren’t interested in dealing with it. What should I investigate to try and source the problems please?. As an aside which may be linked is that there is a buzzing sound off the steering area for a few minutes after starting.

thanks

To clarify I honk the reverse camera probably still works. I just can’t see it cause the screen is off

Hi Morgan, have you done the obvious and checked the fuses, also has the Battery been disconnected lately ? The buzzing may be a caused by a number of issues so can you isolate if this is buzzing or vibration from the steering or maybe it's coming from the dash area .

Wife brought it to a guy. Was not very helpful. I presume he checked fuses but I will. Might disconnect Battery and reconnect it first …. Might reset it. ?

I’ll disconnect at the weekend… presume I just remove the minus connector first then the plus. Easy as that…. Radio with Sat nav

So i disconnected Battery and connected back after 15 mins ….  No change….nothing from the screen. How do I double check the fuses to make sure please.
after that, any suggestions, is there a way of isolating any electrical issue?

thanks

I don't know your system so this is just generic advice.  My 14 year old Merc started playing up.  The problem was one of several things:

I Googled and found a firm, Lancashire iirc, that could attempt to rectify the fault but this involved extracting the components and posting them to the firm.

They said it was costly and with low probability of a cheap fix.  The repair cost would have been about the same as the value of the car.

I lived with the problem for a year or so until another fault arose and it was time to buy a Toyota.
