Hi Jane, I'm sorry I can't help you as I just plug my dash cam into the 12v cigarette lighter socket as that's what I personally prefer (don't use parking mode). However I don't believe my Toyota dealership had any problems when they fitted my previous Nextbase cam which was hardwired.

So long as you buy the correct hardwire kit I'm fairly sure the auto electrician will have everything they need to fit it, but someone else could know more.

Either way, you've made a good choice. Viofo are great.
