Only the USA has a 2024 facelift announced. (they have completely different trim levels to Europe)
Not aware of a facelift for the UK and the spec was tweaked for the UK in July 23 (updated a few bits and removed the launch model).
Also consider that as a 2024 facelift hasn't been announced for the UK at the moment and I brought my BZ4X in July 23 and it's only just arrived for delivery I wouldn't expect to see a UK update until 2025.

Toyota enhances the all-electric bZ4X for faster charging, comfort and convenience

• Toyota speeds up Battery charging performance for the all-electric bZ4X mid-size SUV
• Focus on reducing DC fast-charging times in cold climates with revisions to the Battery heating system
• New radiant heater provide rapid warmth for driver and front seat passengers
• New rear collision safety system and digital key available on higher grade models

Applying its brand-defining principle of constant improvement, Toyota is introducing a series of enhancements to the all-electric bZ4X mid-size SUV, focusing on added convenience, practicality and comfort.

Technical adjustments have been made to the Battery heating system to reduce battery charging times in cold climates using a DC fast-charging power supply. A new water-to-water heat exchanger and a heating adjustment valve have been added to the heating circuit to help increase battery temperature.

Toyota expects these changes to reduce the 10%-80% DC fast-charging times, especially in cold temperatures and below freezing point.

If the weather is cold outside, the cabin climate can be quickly warmed up with new radiant heater, provided as standard on the High grade bZ4X. Installed below the steering column and instrument panel, this provides rapid warmth around the driver and front passenger’s lower legs and feet – occupants will feel the benefit quickly from start-up.

The update programme also introduces a new feature to help prevent rear-end collisions, for example in a highway traffic tailback. Provided on Mid+ and High grade models, this uses the Blind Spot Monitor radars to detect when there is a risk of a collision with a vehicle approaching from the rear, automatically activating the rear hazard lights to alert the other driver.

The High grade bZ4X will be available with a new digital key. Compatible with both Apple and Android systems, this allows users to open and start the vehicle simply by having their smartphone on their person.  The key can be shared between up to five people at any one time, making it simple to give access to family members or business colleagues, or vehicle maintenance and rescue technicians.

The updated Toyota bZ4X range will be introduced in European markets during 2024.

Sorry to be picky. But there's no mention on the UK media website and the press release on the Belgian site only mentions European market.

The vision model in the UK already mentions a digital key in the specification.

I would wait to see if this same information appears on the UK Toyota magazine website.

As an example the french website only offers two models of the BZ4X and not the three that we get in the UK.

Better still monitor the Toyota UK Media Site > bZ4X ... the latest update there (today) is from August 2023.

The statement on the European website says: "The updated Toyota bZ4X range will be introduced in European markets during 2024" so while we can expect it to arrive in due course, we don't know exactly what nor when.

Equally, I note that we have recently seen a marked reduction in the list price of the bZ4X. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see 'normal' price levels being restored once the updated model is available ... ?

I think they are probably (as always) being quite reserved with such news for exactly the reason the thread started. If everyone knew the new one was imminent lots of people would hold off to get that vs the non facelifted one.

I think that comment was in reference to a discussion on this thread in the forum. Refreshed model mentioned on Spec page.

Other than the radiant heater (which is part of the USA spec) it was questioned in another thread on here if the changes to pre heating are a software update.

Something to remember is that even people ordering the BZ4X last year (I ordered in summer) Toyota didn't deliver any of these orders until January this year.
So could fit with the comment of "The updated Toyota bZ4X range will be introduced in European markets during 2024"
As it wasn't possible to get a BZ4X in 2023 unless you went with pre reg or second hand.

The changes in preheat say a heat exchanger and valve have been fitted, so not just a software update. Interesting to see they are fitting radiant heaters - the Lexus RZ have these and they are really efficient with little or no loss of range, but they come at the expense of losing the glove box - the bz seems to get them with a glove box ?

Hi Gary, thanks for your comment.

The bZ4x is currently no longer in production due to preparation of the new model year change over. Further information will be available in due course.

Thanks,
