Talk to Steven Eagell if you have any questions over the monthly payment calculation vs the actual banked amount against your millage.
I found that due to work I had eaten into my 10k in 7 months but the calculated “monthly service fee” only added up to 75% of the service cost so I was asked to pay the difference to reset the plan to “zero balance”.
I am not making this **** up. It happened. Twice.

I had to do the same with my previous Toyota Nationwide Service Plan on my Corolla's 2nd service.  They charged me about £20, but the direct debit was then altered so the total payment was the same.

I’m in a similar boat, just ordered a new car myself (though I went for something different), and I’ve also been thinking about all these service plans and extras they try to sell you. Personally, I’d weigh up how long you plan to keep the car and how much driving you'll do. If you're going to hold on to it for a while, the fixed monthly cost could give you some peace of mind.

I just ordered a new car myself (though I went for something different), and I've also been thinking about all these service plans and extras they try to sell you.  Also, since you're recently retired, if you ever plan to take long trips or need to move your car, it's worth looking into the cheapest way to ship car across country. I've been looking for options for my own move.

Wondering why you have a link to a truck firm in your post and have massively misspelled Prius

A good friend took out a three year service plan on her new Nissan, but in year 2 the dealership was bought up by another company. It remained Nissan, but the new company refused to accept the service plan. She sought legal advice to no avail. I never take out these plans, but if I were inclined to do so I’d need to know that it would be backed by Toyota rather than the dealership. It’s not unusual for a main dealership to be bought out by a larger concern.

Yeah, that's one thing I learned on here - There are different kind of service plans! e.g. Some are Toyota ones, which are honoured by all Toyota franchise dealers, but some are franchise specific and wouldn't be honoured by a different franchise. I don't know how you're supposed to know these things without anyone telling you!

Same story for the parking sensors. My dealer never mentioned the difference between available options and the requirements for having it visualized on the dash vs just beeps. I was lucky and decided to wait for the mid-year offer change (this was the moment when JBL was dropped because of the logistics issues and they had to redesign one of the packs) and picked the pack which also included front and rear sensors, factory fitted as it appeared later. Others were not that lucky and picked "just the sensors" for extra 400 GBP, only to discover that they are not the same as the ones from the pack.
