Rotating knocking (subtle knock)

Hi guys 

i own a Corolla Tsport 2005 was wondering if anyone can help me figure out the cause of a subtle knocking sound seems like something is rotating when it occurs only when braking with the clutch pedal all the way in. The car drives fine no other issue as far as i know, i replaced the pads and discs recently so it can't be wheel/brake related imo 

any advice or help would be appreciated

Hi,

Think it might be worth taking a look at the new pads to see if they are wearing evenly.

Just check around the wheel / axle /driveshaft area to see if  anything has worked loose or has been disturbed

Any signs of steering wheel wobble when you brake hard from a high speed ?

When you replaced the discs, did you carefully clean the hub surface of any gunge / rust as if not perfectly clean the discs will not seat well.

Did you check and clean / regrease the caliper slider pins, they often seize if not checked regularly.

Not sure why depressing the clutch affects things, engine load  ?  though again it could be signs of a wear in the clutch like the thrust bearing etc.

i will looking under the car tomorrow.

the breaks are neat they were replaced by a garage and then by me because the shims worn out pads were rattling and loose.

caliper pins were checked replaced and greased 

like i said the car seems to drive perfectly fine no wobble grinding judder 

my concern is it only makes the rotating knocking noise when i press the clutch whilst braking 

normal braking is fine no sound what so ever 

i beleive its the clutch or gear box
