Headlight beam level adjusting up and down by itself

Hi,
I've noticed a couple of times recently when sat in queuing traffic that my headlight beams have been moving up and down 1-2 times per second, as if the headlight beam level control dial is being operated back and forth between 2 different positions. I don't think it does it for long when it happens. After I'd parked somewhere, they were no longer moving and I checked the operation the of the control - it's working as expected through all positions.
Any ideas what's going on? 2012 Aygo.

Possibly the reflector is loose inside and has come off one of its mounts

Has it been knocked recently ?
