Not sure on the legality in the UK, but sequential type should be ok, it looks like It's for the US market

looks like Chinese tat, quality can be very poor

found this Chinese seller

If that isn't illegal in the U.K., or anywhere, then it should be.

One question - why?

What's this obsession with adorning a car with fairy lights etc.?

I suspect there will be no "E" markings on that, and the way it performs may not conform to construction and use regulations. I see very similar on Beemers and Ford ST's, very sorry but it looks awful, not for me

The rear-end 'monobrow' is the current 'in thing' on newer cars; So many EVs and SUVs have them. It's just an attempt to make the cars stand out more because they have no other good selling points

The answer to why is usually

"Cause I want to or like it"

I saw a GR in the showroom that had a red bead on the spoiler lip which looked really nice as it joined the RH and LH lights.  I have bought a 1cm wide roll to add to the Yaris when it's warmer (adhesive likes to be warm to set properly).

Not quite, it had same lights as our Yaris,  but the trim went straight across the top.  I'll post a pic when done but in the meantime, something like this.

I don't have any photo of mine with this stripe on the back but it was one of my first mods...

The second photo from the front is mine, and I think it's nice.

It's made with the exact same strip you ordered.

£320.....

The Japanese light is just a side light not even a brake light. This is from their video promo on Facebook.

you can wire it how you like either with the tail lights or brake lights

Given it's 12v intensity is the same as the tail lights left and right I don't think it's wise.

One scenario is you wire it as manufacturer gives it. All good no  extra brake light.

Second scenario is you wire it to brake lights. No tail light bar until you hit the brake and you become the 🤡

Third scenario you wire it to tail lights with a HUGE resistor bringing it down to 30% brightness and full 12v at brake lights. Then you have an underlit tail light bar that looks burned out and a not so bright stop- brake light.

370€ without customs+VAT (100-200€) and postage (50 -100€) for a DIY 🤡 is way too much.

How much more expensive will it be to add the GR4 tail light?

the 3 door tailgate may be different, that style of tailgate is a new production for 2024 if you can get one it will not be cheap £600 to 1000 as a guess
