buzzing, vibrating sound of hybrid corolla cross

I just bought a black Toyota Hybrid Corolla Cross XSE. I love everything about it except the buzzing, vibrating sound when I accelerate. It sounds like the car is broken! I asked my local dealership (not where I bought it) to test drive it and they said it was fine (and I trust that). The combination of the sound and the buzzing vibration is making me want to return the car and get something else. Anyone have a similar experience, words of wisdom or any perspective on this? Thanks very much for your thoughts.

I got the SE version 4 weeks ago, it's so quiet all I hear is the noise of the tires on the road. Does it make the noise in all drive modes? I have only driven mine in eco at the moment.

Thanks for replying. My car is extremely quiet but when I come to a hill, or push the gas pedal to speed up, it sounds like I am dragging a metal rod on pavement. I am slowly getting used to the sound but I don't love it. Had I realized how intense it is, I probably would not have purchased the car.

There is probably something loose that vibrates and cause these nasty sounds. Likely to be on exhaust system, brackets or heat shields . This is what technicians should be looking at. It’s not normal to have any buzzing noises while engine is working harder, unless pushed to the limit but then it will sound more like jet on take off rather then a vibration noises
