Does remote control climate start use grid or battery?

Im aware for other vehicle makes/models that if you have the car plugged into the EV charger & switch on climate controls that it will automatically draw the power from the charger, rather than the Battery.  Is that the same for the BZ4X?

It is not a stupid question and it might sound like semantics but I believe power is always drawn directly from the car Battery and then automatically topped up from the EV charger. I don't know of  any car that pre heats/cools direct from the mains.

I would guess it would be like @G S said. If the car is plugged into the charger the heater will take power from the car Battery but in theory the charger should be able to top up the Battery by the same amount being drawn from the car Battery.
Maybe plan to turn off the heat a few minutes before unplugging the car
