Recently noticed that Halfords own recommended oil for Prius Gen2 has changed to Type 1 were it was previously Type 5.

Type 1 5W30 Part Synthetic @£25 for 5ltrs

Type 5 5W30 Fully Synthetic @£34 for 5ltrs

Both Oils are to Toyotas spec and Toyotas oil was originally part synthetic. (7.5k Severe/10K normal)

I do 30k miles per year and changed oil @ 10k but as I'm hitting 200k miles was considering changing to 7.5k mile intervals, It just made me think is 7.5k Part Synthetic or 10k Fully Synthetic oil changes better? (Cost is the same per year Part £100 vs Fully £102)
