Bulb upgrade options for 2007 Auris Projector H11

Hi all. I have read every where that Changing the H11 low beam headlight bulbs to LED bulbs are an MOT fail. However I just had an MOT done and dont need one for the next 11 months. Having said that what options do I have for significantly brighter projector bulbs? Any specific brand LED bulbs or any specific Halogen bulbs? I dont want to keep changing after every few months so longevity is also an issue.

Hi Shoaib, You may be interested to read this previous post it gives other members recommendations for upgrades to headlight bulbs. In this post it also shows a email from DVSA on this question of legality of LEDs. Hope this helps.👍

I used Osram Nightbreakers (halogen upgrades) in both of my previous Auris. There are also brighter bulbs from Philips, Elta (Lucas is their other brand), etc. Have a look on Amazon.

Thank you for the reply. I have read that the Osram nightbreakers are notorious for failing after a few months. I was thinking of going the LED bulb route but sub 5500k so as to be closer to the white tone rather than bluish tone. If Halogens are recomended over the LEDs because of legal issues and MOT, which Halogens do you suggest keeping in mind I live up north and my daily commute is from durham to newcastle and back 7 days a week. 5 to 6 hours of night time daily driving cause I do deliveries. So I want something 50% brighter atleast but one that would last atleast 1200 hours

Philips do a 150% extremevision set. My experience is philips last longer than osram equivalents.
