23 Corolla cross gxl instrument cluster

after changing meter type from hybrid to Tachometer the instruments return to hybrid after the turning off for more than a few minutes. Can the change be locked in?

Yes, tachometer (RPM) is available. You need to choose "dual dial" display first, then in somewhere in settings select tachometer instead of "hybrid output". Hope this helps and you have the duel dial facility on yours.👍
