Yaris mk1 grill damage - MOT fail ?

Hi all 

Today on the way home from work I noticed that my front grill is damaged. I know the mot can fail for sharp edges on body work so was just wondering if this would be enough to fail.

Doubt it. It's just plastic. If you're that worried about it failing stick a little bit of duct tape over it for the MOT.

My cars have had far worse and still passed; I wouldn't worry.

Generally, unless it's structural or dangerous they won't care. If it was something sticking out that could e.g. slash the legs of a pedestrian they'd care, but a hole in the grill like that will probably not even be noted.

I would speculate that the tester will not even notice it or, at the very worst,  put it down to patina
