Since purchasing my Toyota Corolla E210 1.8 TS, the dashboard speaker cover on the right side protrudes slightly. When driving on rough roads, the speaker cover vibrates/resonates. I tried using rubber bands to tighten the mounting clips slightly, but it didn't help. I also attempted to fill the edges with foam tape, but there's little space under the cover and it only makes the cover protrude further.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

I enjoy driving in a whisper-quiet car 😄

Hi Medi,You can try some electrical tape under the edge of the cover it's thinner then foam, you can run the tape along the edges under the cover and you can trim it as well. You can buy it from Screwfix, Toolstation or a good hardware store. You can get it in black as well.

If you removed the cover could you see why the cover Is protruding, is the speaker mounted to high or slightly out of line or is the grill slightly warped. If you push the cover back In place do you have to push it down for it to align with the dash properly or does It just slightly protrude.

Hope this helps
