Yaris Cross Design 2024 - features

I’ve been trying to find info on the complete spec for the 2024 Yaris Cross Design. I paid for the car at the beginning of January expecting to get the 2023 model and features. The dealership even focussed on this spec and details as part of the sales pitch. It’s only since reading more online and digging deeper that I now realise I’ve bought a car completely off book. I’ve no clue what it’s coming with. Some gadgets I’d like to know if I’m getting:

Keyless entry

Hybrid/mechanical engine improvements

Dash display size

Wireless CarPlay

LED lighting in footwells and door handles

Number of Speakers and type

Level of soundproofing improvements of the cabin

Hey Toyota assistant

Does anyone have any info on this? I’m shocked that the website still hasn’t been updated with info on each trim level.

Just wish they had the new 2024 model brochure online

One thing I found,  MY21 Dacuma Grey was an additional cost option.  On MY24 it appears as a base colour.   There are 2 other colours for which there is an extra charge.  IIRC that extra is a lower cost than the MY21 option.

Toyota Europe is not Toyota. Quality is very bad. And there are better vehicles from other Brands out there. I spend a fortune on a car and it is full of problems no one at Toyota seems interested in solving. Goes from bad Paintwork, through bad fitted and poor quality Plastic fittings both inside and outside the vehicle, to Ordering wrong parking sensors and claiming there are no parking sensors, so that I had to order the sensors myself and do the job at home, through and not the least Bad GPS System, Software errors, and a totally non functional myToyota App.

In 49 years of driving and having had many a new car this has been far the worst I bought. And we have other Toyota's at home. Toyota has no shame at all and pushes the problems onto their reps everywhere and these have their hands tied up because Toyota Europe simply will not take over the warranties.

A sad story created through bad quality management, bad control, and bad management as a whole.

DO NOT buy Toyota in Europe through catalogue. Do not trust and do not accept the car on good faith if you see faults. They smile and tell you they can correct the problems just to diplomatically push you to complete the deal.

In 2 Years I will get rid of it at loss and buy something better. Definitely not Toyota.

There’s little substance to your claim Joe, other than you can’t get your own way and you want to lash out at them.  I agree that there are one or two cheap things that let a Yaris down like the interior lights and sound deadening but they are fundamentally much better than the competition.  I liked both of my Yaris’s and if I could get the spec I wanted, I’d have another without hesitation.  There are tens of thousands of owners that would agree and the order books for every European built model are full.  There are better ways of presenting an argument.

Yes.  By tomorrow tea time you’ll know all about the Battery and any other items worthy of mention.  I’ll take photos as usual 👍

So hoping they have sorted the Battery ... am wavering my order finger between a LBX and the Cross Premiere, but think the Cross is the more practical car...

I have a Yaris Cross Design 2023 model which has keyless entry so I’d be surprised if Toyota dropped this feature for the 2024 model.  Maybe some people are getting confused with the features between the Yaris Design hatchback and the Yaris Design Cross.  There are some differences between the two models.

The Cross and the LBX seem to have the same Battery although I can almost guarantee the latter will have a Japanese Yuasa Battery even if the capacity is the same.

Don’t let the Battery influence your decision alone Mike.  It’s such an easy thing to sort out, just choose the car you like best.

There’s a Mike and Michael but whoever is reticent about a Yaris or Cross, don’t worry!   Yes, a hatch.  Juniper Blue.

👍 I know and I was actually replying to Mike but it does apply to anybody that is worried about these Battery issues.  We’re talking about changing a Battery that costs £75 plus fitting if it becomes an issue.  It would be a shame to hold back when the cost of sorting it out is so insignificant in the scheme of things.

It’s the Cross that I’m talking about. Will that not have keyless on the Design Trim? That was one thing I was lead to believe I would get
