Yaris 2018 Mk 3 Aux port location

Hi 

I have just bought a Yaris 2018 petrol hybrid. I have got an android auto screen to make it a bit more modern. I need to plug the screen into the aux port for the audio to go through the car. 

I can't for the life of my find the aux port. I wouldn't have thought a car this young wouldn't have an aux port but I csnt seen to find it. Any help appreciated?

There isn't one I'm afraid. 😢 AFAIR, it got deleted with the 2017 facelift...

2nd Facelift cars didn't get an AUX in

you can add AUX or a/v in

Socket or wire side of the plug

Pin 13 - Video +

Pin 14 - Video -

Pin 25 - Signal detect (ground to activate input)

Pin 26 - A/V audio right

Pin 27 - A/V audio ground

Pin 28 - A/V audio Left

 

to test this, ground pin 25 and the input should appear

 

you may find the Aux wired - check for wiring on pins 25, 26, 27 and 28 pins

It's funny as my Mk1 didn't have an AUX, my Mk2 had one as part of an options pack, and my Mk4 doesn't have one again

Would it be possible for it to get added on by toyota or will it have to be an aftermarket thing?

Progression of tech.

MK1 ... no-one really doing much external source audio.

MK2/early MK3 ... 3.5mm all the rage. (iPods)

Later MK3 and MK4 ... bluetooth rules.

the Mk4 has it but not the port

Toyota will not be interested, as it's not factory spec
