Guys

I need a standard Steering wheel for my car to pass the SVA test.

Its for an MR2 Turbo 1995. I will only need it for a short while so it can pass the SVA.

If anyone can help please e-mail me on

I am in Manchester but can travel, within reason

Thanks in advance

What is an SVA test? why do you need to pass it

SVA - Single Vehicle Approval

A BIG MOT for any car made or brought into the UK that is under 10 years old ..

Checks are made against the STOCK spec .. so any new wheels, aftermarket exhaust etc .. even down to steering wheels and seats .. has to be stock to pass ..

Checks are the same as MOT, but also speedo calibration, safety etc .. and you can't get a V5 without it.

Ahh so if i bought a car into the uk id have to put it through the SVA?

Thats lucky i thought it was an mot test every year , because ive passed that with my modified steering wheel

Yeah .. if it's under 10 years old (so the early rev3's are not able to get in without the SVA).

Nah, as soon as it passes the SVA (Now called E-SVA "European") you can then take it round the corner and get all the aftermarket stuff slapped back on again .. what is the point  it's the government trying to stop grey imports from an "open market" again .. "open" beinging only Europe :ffs: ..
