Hi all, I don’t know if someone can help me. I’ve tried to install the reverse camera on my toyota auris 2009, i have done all the cables and connected to the reverse light cable. When i do connect the cables to the rear view mirror camera it just keeps flashing on and off!
thank you

so you have fitted a third-party camera to the standard radio ??

what reverse wire did you connect too?

Not.sure what the lines per frame spec is for the head unit. There may be a mismatch with what you bought, hence the flash/flicker.

  Hi Kledis !

Before installing the system in the car, you've had to connect all the components together to see how them work.

Maybe is there an incompatibility between camera and display, in this case is cheaper to  buy another camera, it happened to my last Android Auto player and the reverse camera, I had to buy a new one.

I have fitted the rear mirror camera but not with the radio.
I have connected with the red reverse wire.

Try and buy original as lines per frame (TVL) on the video signal line van vary. Eg 600TVL, 800TVL, 1000TVL.

Yeap, you have installed a system as my previous one, it should work well, very reliable and stable indeed...

Just one 12V feeding point is needed, +12V reverse lamp, so that camera and display are switch on when put the car in reverse only.

TVL is of no relevance as it composite video, Most, if not all car cameras are NTSC but there a PAL cameras

Composite NTSC is 525 lines more commonly known as 480i (Interlaced)

Composite Pal is 625 lines

where did you wire the mirror to, does it get its reverse signal all the way from the back of the car with the coax?

a poor-quality cable will drop voltage and may give you a drop out as you describe
