New beeping in 2018 Yaris + any guide from Toyota?

Ok. So we have gotten used to the beeping that happens and figured most of the reasons why beeping happens.  (Lane sensor, speed limits etc) But today we got a new one. Sounds like the "droplet of water sound". We thought it may be low fuel, but it was still there after refuelling.

Any ideas? Plus is there any guide from Toyota on the various beepings?  Thanks for your help

Maybe give us a clue as to the sort of circumstances it happens?

We're just guessing otherwise.

Of course.. although the droplet noise, (or the ping sound when on an airplane and they say to put seatbelts)which I'd say is distinctive compared to the regular flat beeps, happened in non-descript circumstances. We were driving say 50mph on an A-Road, and the ping happened every few minutes then started to happen every couple of minutes. (For about 15 mins). Tank was about 1/4 full. After refuelling, after further 10 minutes it pinged randomly twice.

Next month I'm going to visit the dealer and ask : doesn't Toyota have a guide to these beeps / pings. If you happen to know, much appreciated.  Thanks.

Are you sure it wasn't a phone in the car? I don't recall hearing a droplet sound from the car, but actual use one for an alarm on my phone.

Was it just this one occasion or has it continued on other journeys?

Err. That's a really good point. (Doh). Going to be aware of that as we head out next.  As an aside though, I guess there isn't guidance from Toyota as to why different beeps happen. (?)

The handbook probably says when a function makes a sound, but (the other way round) a list of sounds with their sources I've not heard of. It would be a useful resource.

You can ask Toyota - about the only way you'll find out.
