Hello Toyota Owners Club. A few months ago I bought a 1992 EE90 1.3 Liftback (my first car, actually). I was very happy to find that it has done only 48,000 miles and has very minimal rust, aside from the exhaust which had to be replaced. I'm very interested in replacing the 2E engine with a 4AGE and having the bodywork repaired and resprayed. I am looking forward to working on it and will probably frequent this forum for advice.

Welcome Thomas! Not bad for a first car! That looks very nice. I've seen a few 4A-GE units for sale on the MR2 / 4A-GE groups on FB recently.

Beautiful looking car and looks to have been very well looked after. The styling of the rear light clusters and liftback on this model was one of the best from Toyota from that era. I'd be tempted to keep the car as original as possible, including the low mileage 1.3 engine.

Definitely a good buy and one worth restoring.
