Recently fitted a Toyota Premium twin tone horn kit on my C-HR HR - cheap enough from eBay plus it came with a plug & play loom.

Does it sound like the hella one? I would like to update mine if it doesn’t effect warranty.

It sounds like a decent twin tone horn & not the embarrassing factory fitted joke horn.

That's the kit I used to - its not officially designed for a C-HR / Corolla / Yaris Cross but it can be made to fit once you find suitable mounting locations.

What about the cable connectors on the y cable? Do they fit?

  • 3 weeks later...

well, the premium horn kit arrived today from Japan, 2 weeks early.

First job, remove the cover under the bonnet. Wasn't sure how the clips released so I pressed the centre down, that worked. A very straight forward job, as no captive nut to attach the second horn a nut and bolt is required. There was a bolt supplied in the kit. Try as I might, I couldn't get the nut on the back of the bolt due to access problem and large hands! Hence had to fit the bolt the untidy way around.

The results .. listen below.
