Can I set my Rav4 display to give a running average of mpg, rather than having it reset for every trip ?

If it is like the Yaris Cross you will find a setting using the steering wheel controls, left side.

Yes, of course you can ...

Have you downloaded the full Owner's Manual for your car? It's all in there ...

On the subject of displayed MPG, I have noticed that my HEV mpg shows a figure that incorporates all the EV driving as well, ie let's say a journey of exactly 100miles is completed with 50miles of EV driving until the ICE kicks in, then a further 50miles of HEV driving at 45mpg, this would be represented within the MID guage as as an average HEV mpg of 90mpg.

When in EV mode it shows the mpkwh, which is obviously reflective of efficiency on electricity only, but the hev indicated mpg is misleading high and usually "99.9 mpg", which is obviously meaningless.  Anyone know a way to make it show the hev only mpg?

And apologies if the answer is RTM

Alan has a 2020 HEV AWD, so this is largely PHEVie confusion.

The HEV fuel consumption figure is able to display to three significant digits. The highest figure that it can display is 99.9 mpg and that is what is displays when the economy figure is at or above 99.9 mpg. It tends to drop quite quickly once the ICE fires up. Note, the figure displayed = miles covered / fuel burned.

I eventually found the setting to set the Total Average, it wasn't easy as the only video I could find varied to

my 2020 vehicle.
