Steeringwheel + Airbag T23(celica) in E12(Corolla) 2004.

Hello everyone,

After conducting some research online and among friends, unfortunately without any success, I've decided to turn to this forum for assistance. I've been working on restoring and tuning my 2004 Corolla E12 1.6 for a while now, and replacing the worn-out steering wheel has become a priority.

I recently purchased a Celica T23 steering wheel(+airbag), but I'm unsure whether the T23 airbag will be compatible with my E12.

Although the steering wheel fits well and I've connected the horn and airbag connectors using a new clockspring with the correct connector, I haven't yet started the car or connected it to the Battery. I'm concerned about technical aspects such as the size of the airbag module (in relation to the cabin design and its distance from the wheel), the compatibility of the airbag ECU, and other details that I may have overlooked.

I'm hoping to hear from experienced members who can provide insights on whether this modification is possible. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
