Thought I knew the service price...

Booked an intermediate "oil change" service over telephone. Didn't query price as Toyota website is quite clear about it. Silly me.

Was charged 15% more than Toyota's published price!

Another dealership to avoid, and next time I'll book via the website.

They probably didn't even change the oil anyway.

Sick and tired of Toyota UK franchisees. I'll be trying a different manufacturer for next car. All I want is a little competence and honesty!

Hi Thomas, did you ask why you had been charged 15% more. Was everything itemised on the invoice so you could see where the additional cost has come from. If not then phone them and query the invoice and ask why it was more then the online Hope this helps.

I haven't had my Toyota long enough to get serviced yet, but I found that the service price varied quite a bit round various Mazda dealers.  I used to phone round four then go back to my preferred one (they sold me the car) and asked them to price-match the lowest one, which they usually did.

I have a service plan, which can be used nationwide, so at least I know my prices are fixed.
