Hi there, I too have a Toyota Verso 1.6 diesel 2015 trend. After 6 weeks of ownership it threw a timing chain code, p0016. Dealer took car back. Had his specialist look at it. Drove it around a lot. No mis firing or suggestion that timing is off. After around 120 miles car then threw a p1474 code. Mechanic will replace swirl flap actuator and I will let you know if that fixes it. The car does have 107,000 miles on it so I'm not sure how long I want to keep it as I know that the timing chain will be a big problem soon enough.

Update - car has been running fine. Still runs fine. Original code - P0016 back on. I'm going to try changing the camshaft sensor (get the garage to do it) and hope that works. Engine runs totally smoothly. Dealer, mechanic and husband all agree it cannot be the chain......Let's hope they're right as I'm driving it 50 miles per day!
